Full-day Riverbug on the Salza.

The Salza River is one of the most attractive and beautiful white water rivers in Europe. Crystal clear, turquoise-green water, lush vegetation, several jump options and beautiful wild water of medium difficulty are the hallmarks of this fascinating river. Pure nature like in a fairy tale!

Half a day is not enough for you? On our full-day tour you will experience twice as much. Two different sections of the Salza, interrupted by a picnic on its picturesque banks.

  • Complete equipment:
  • flexible and one-piece (surf) wetsuits with a thickness of 5 mm – no need to worry about the cold
  • neoprene boots

Preconditions

You should be generally fit, at least 125 cm tall and be able to swim. No previous experience is necessary.

Ca 6 hours, time on the water 3-4 hours

  • Swimwear underneath the wetsuit

The course of the tour

  • Meeting at the Black Sheeps Adventures base in Wildalpen, give basic information, fill out the participant list.
  • Distribution of equipment and changing of clothes.
  • Loading the boats, departure to  the river.
  • Training on operating the Riverbug and safety on the river provided by a professional guide.
  • Getting into the boat and off we go, let’s do it!
  • First you will learn basic manoeuvres with the boat and try your first waves. Then you can try to surf in a bigger wave.
  • About halfway through, it’s time for lunch.
  • We run a section of the river selected based on the water level.
  • End of the tour at some take-out place, take the boat out to the car park where transport back to the Black Sheeps Adventures base is organised.
  • Arriving at the basecamp, changing, showering, saying goodbye…
  • The time schedule is only indicative (depends on water level, weather, participants themselves).
