The course of the tour

  • Meeting at the Black Sheeps Adventures base in Wildalpen, give basic information, fill out the participant list.
  • Distribution of equipment and changing of clothes.
  • Loading the boat, departure to river.
  • Basic training by the raft guide (how to paddle, what to do if…, etc.)
  • Getting into the boat and off we go, let’s do it!
  • The rafting tour takes place on the section of the river from Wildalpen to Saggraben.
  • Day rafting is characterized by a slow identification with the river. The first half is less wild, but the beautiful changing scenery is worth paying attention to. Gradually with tributaries the river is getting wilder.
  • About halfway through the tour there is a lunch break on one of the beautiful pebble beaches on Salza (toasting sausages or eating other food, depending on the weather).
  • One of the options is to have lunch at the restaurant at Wasserlochklamm – however, it is not included in the price.
  • Brave participants have the opportunity to jump into the river from the jump at Wasserlochklamm.
  • The impressive Palfauer Gorge (Palfauer Schlucht) is also part of the rafting tour.
  • End of the tour at Saggraben, take the boat out to the car park where transport back to the Black Sheeps Adventures base is organised.
  • Arriving at the basecamp, changing, showering, saying goodbye…
  • The time schedule is only indicative (depends on water conditions, weather, participants themselves).
